The Global Shipping Manager is responsible for all international and domestic shipping to staff, students, and other clients. This person manages the storage of products at the warehouse and distribution of RP materials going out internationally and domestically. The Global Shipping Manager ensures that packages delivered are of the highest quality.
What you do:
Assist the global shipping manager with fulfillment of daily catalog requests and other shipping requests (welcome materials, pre-departure materials, community service certificates, etc) and bulk mailing requests.
Assist with the inventory of shipping materials, products, and supplies.
Assemble, gather, and document shipping parcels.
Initiate and implement best practices in shipping processes
This position will work hours varying from 15-35 hours a week depending on need.
Assignment starts in late April, 2018 and runs through approximately June/July 2018, depending on business needs.
What we look for:
Some experience in customer service.
Experience with mail merging and Microsoft Office excel or other spreadsheet software.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma required.
Work and environmental conditions:
This position is primarily based in a warehouse. The work pace for this position is an average steady pace where work is required for up to 2-3 hours at a time. High supervision from manager with intermittent prompts. Social interaction with vendors and team members required somewhat.
This position requires such physical abilities as sitting for computer and phone work for long periods of time, standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling throughout the warehouse and Ohio office buildings. Other abilities include driving to post offices, lifting up to 50lbs and balancing, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling freight and other materials. Use of packaging materials such as a tape gun and box cutter are also required.
Majority of work is done in a controlled office and warehouse environment. The environment in which the job is performed outside a normal office space may include exposure to extreme temperature, noise, heights, or other hazards. All remains the same for any additional requirements for training, protective clothing, or monitoring.
